Fairhope, Alabama, model train show

I hope some of you will join us in Fairhope, Alabama on March 17 - 18 for the 15th annual model train show sponsored by South West Alabama Railroad Modelers (SWARM) during the large Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival. The festival is over the three day weekend and draws some 200,000 people each year -- our train show is adjacent to the festival location and typically draws about 1,500 paying visitors during its two-day run.

Dealers have reserved about 80 tables including a lot of O-gauge. Largest dealers coming are S&W Parts Supply from Metairie, LA (12 tables), Hummingbird Hobbies (mostly smaller trains, 12 tables), Dan Sheppard (TCA member with lots of older Lionel, etc., TCA member, 7 tables), and several other TCA members who will have trains of interest to you.

We'll have several operating layouts -- G scale in front of the building, two O-gauge layouts (SWARM and BARR both from our Mobile area), S (from New Orleans), HO (from Mobile), N (from Pensacola and another from Fort Walton Beach), and Z (from Pensacola).

The show will be in Fairhope's Kindergarten-First Grade Center at 100 S. Church Street downtown. Hours are 9 - 5 on Saturday and 10 - 4 on Sunday. Admission is $2 for adults (no charge for children with paying parent or for firemen, police or military). :)
