I like to change them.I will use decals or dry transfers and just change one digit on each car.There are enough different styles of lettering to almost always be able to match.

Another "just curious" question: If you have multiple same-type cars like the 6462 gondolas or the 6456 hoppers, do you ignore the fact that they have the same id numbers or do you attempt to change them?  As always, thanks.
