DCS channel question
Posted by Fred Bear on Monday, February 5, 2007 5:03 PM

I've used both variable channels on the TIU for adding track for conventional locomotives. Is there a way to convert the last remaining fixed channel to varialbe so a person can add that also as a track add? or am I missing something as far as using the fixed channel for conventional locomotives? Thanks, Jerry

The fix channels cannot be reprogrammed, they will only operate as fix voltage. The two variable channels can be reprogrammed to fix.

If you wish to run conventional engines on a fix channel, then you will have to adjust the transformer voltage, as if you were operating without DCS.

I am a person with a very active inner child. This is why my wife loves me so. Willoughby, Ohio - the home of the CP & E RR. OTTS Founder www.spankybird.shutterfly.com

Thanks, I appreciate the help there. Gonna hook that loop up to the Z1000 I have hanging around, nice spike for the whistle etc, so that's gonna be how that one will operate. Thanks again, Jake
