Here is some pics of a new Model T that I pick up
And Spanky also wanted his part!
I am a person with a very active inner child. This is why my wife loves me so. Willoughby, Ohio - the home of the CP & E RR. OTTS Founder www.spankybird.shutterfly.com
Here are some photos of the layout I finally started this week.
The bench itself
With plywood added
Finally found Homasote in the Valley.
AJ & I enjoying the trains yesterday.
Once I get the 1.75" straights, I will be able to complete the inner loop, put the graduated treslte set in, and the truss bridge to span the lower track. My son is very happy that I can at least run a train around the outside loop during construction. Have a great day!

Here's the CSX KCC Engine
And one for the Chief
Little progress this week:
Chiseled up the ground cover to make way for the new design on this reversing loop. Which will now look like this:
And ballasted around the curve:
Ground cover all chipped out to accommodate the switch. The road painted on the backdrop, currenty barricaded will come across the tracks and snake to the left of the switch mechanism and service the two industries. I'll build a guard shack of some sort to conceal that switch.
Was struggling with this structure:
But got the Amish carpenter on it:
Now he says "It's all good"
as opposed to last week when he was ready to buy the farm:
Lionel collector, stuck in an N scaler's modelling space.
Here are a few pictures of my bridge installations so far:
A lot of work yet to do. This should give you an idea of what I'm doing.

CHUCK is that a Lionel coin bank in the back there? The crossbucks. Nice if it is. I was thinking of getting one of those?

Yes, it is. The lights flash on and off like a real one. Hold millions of $'s. Train money.
What is a fair price to pay? Saw them on Ebay for about $50.
I'm sure enjoying seeing everyones pictures & the progress they are making !! Thanks to all !!
I put down a little scenery so far around my interlocking area !!
I still have lots more to do too !! Ballast would be nice !!
Thanks, John

Nice stuff - have you given any thought to tubular?

Thanks Frank !! I have another whole layout or rather the benchwork is in place below the upper level & when I can, I will have the tubular down on that lower level !! Then I might have a true Tubular- Gargraves layout Like Chucks !! Postwar will be run down there also !!
HighrailJon : your camera is working really good !! Nice pictures !!

You have indeed distinguished yourself as a man of discerning taste and culture.
Chuck:
First and foremost - love the tubular - but is that gargraves I see invading the realm?
I've been considering doing something like this on my main level to avoid having loops at each end. Whose bridge is that (besides yours!) and do you think it is sturdy enough for that span?

LAZ....my wife bought me that one, a few years ago for $29.95. I think the price has gone up since then.

I shouldn't tell you guys this, but I got one in August for my Grandson for only 14.95 from one of those little catalog companies in the mail. You can find them at all sorts of differnt prices sometimes !! They are pretty neat !! http://www.collectionsetc.com/Index.aspx?WT.mc_id=OUTS07B&WT.srch=1
Really need to tackle these "SuperTrees". I think these are going to be really neat when I finally get them decked out:
I think I also need to tackle this cliffside - but that's another story . . .

I typed Lionel Coin Bank into google and several sites popped up offering this item. The As Seen on TV site listed them at $29.95. Hope this helps.
Nice pictures all!!
My contribution for this week:
I've started with building a small harbour and a river coming from the wall..
The bridge is a homemade steel bridge (welded together from 2mm thich steel strips) On the bridge is my new berkshire, for now with the sound disconnected untill the new transformer will arrive which delivers 60Hz.
Fränklin mint Mack texaco tanktruck. Fantastic model..
The Mack just crossed before the train rumbles through.
Enginedrivers nightmare..
Chevrolet service car.
The platforms of kennsington union station now has lights and the Berkshire waits for the tracks to clear.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Yes, Frank. Gargraves has invaded part of my upper level. It connects with tubular on the older section. There are 2 reverse loops in the other room with tubular and 022 switches.
The steel bridge is a 100 Year Co. bridge and it is very strong. No give at all on that span. It was pictured in Dec. CTT mag. painted green. Very nice bridge.
Some new additions for the Polar Express...The Penssy Flyer Expansion Pack.

It is great to have visitors at Roger's Corners, Ohio.
About two weeks ago, Wes stopped over and helped run the trains. Wes lives north of here in Delaware County.
Tom and his wife from Jamestown, NY, paid us a visit at Roger's Corners last week. We also took in the hockey game on Friday night at Nationwide Arena.
Had a great time and we didn't pile any up.

Spankybird The parrot car is really cool!!!
sk3213 Looks like a good start!!!
Frank53 The reverse loop pic looks more like my whole layout!!! I'm still running my stuff the old fashioned way....on the floor or the table! Still trying to work out just the right track plan for the right space and occasionally working on some buildings.

Nice pictures all. I do not have any new pics to share, real busy last week and did not have the time for much beyond working on the 752 Coaler. I really enjoy looking at what is shared
Jim
Nice photos guys.
MartyE - that support column is ripe for haveing a grain elevator "wrapped" around it. It would also be an ideal siding for them swell Canadian grain hoppers on the market.
Some of you guys are really working in some tight spaces, but are making the most of it.
Frank53 - something about a man who wears flannel...
Spank - you are going to convert me to 4-4-0's yet. Well, you and MTH...
