Die-Cast Metal Sprung Trucks - Lionel Copper Line RR

When replacing, how do you get to the rivet to remove located beneath the cars?

Do new trucks come with a screw/bolt to re-attach?

Under each of the Ore cars is a snap-in plastic frame which the trucks attach to. Snap out the frame and use a cutting wheel on your dremel tool to cut the rivet off.

Use Lionel's die-cast sprung trucks, but not the ones with the rotating bearing caps. The standard die-cast trucks come with a screw and a brass reinforecment sleeve for mounting.

I use a drill & drill bit to remove the rivets.  I have a dremel tool but can't get it in tight places and won't cut three rail track at the angle I prefer so I have been using a hacksaw instead.

I have used Lionel replacement trucks for O gauge and they come with the washer & screw, like Kooljock mentioned.  The replacement trucks seem to be better quality than the factory installed trucks Lionel uses.
