Look at the underneath on both and see if the contacts are in the same area, if so it may work, also are the screw mounting holes in the same place?

I have both postwar 022 and 711 072 switches. I don't know about the internals but the motors are interchangeble and can be fastened to either side of the switch.

022 & 072 motor switch?

Can this be done, exchanging an 022 motor base into an 072 switch?  Are they the same because you can reverse the positioning? Same size, etc?

Thanks
