Can fastrack switches be wired together so when one throws it will throw another, like O gauge switches can?
John
Should work fine. I think I would only connect the 4th wire to one of the switches though, as I seem to recall there is a circuit in the controller that will set a different set of LEDs to light depending on the switch setting.
If your 2 (or more) switches were not set the same way(straight or curved, ie, one straight, one curved), this would cause a conflict, which of course was also true for O gauge switches, but the bulbs in those were part of the circuit for the switch/solenoid circuit itself.
It just occurred to me that you might actually keep both controllers. (My previous paragraphs were assuming one controller only was used) If you did so, I would still say yes, the simple part is don't connect the wire for the indicator together, only do the 3 wires labeled thru, out and ground. (swapping the thru and out when connecting if you want straight on one switch to mean curved on the other and vice versa) This will allow each controller to properly indicate the position of each switch. (they should always work in sync, of course - either always match, or always mismatched)
