Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I have ordered from JustTrains before and think I will stick with them. I also like the idea of not charging until the order is shipped. That is nice.

You can do your pre orders through your dealer.  I use an on line dealer, Just trains,  because the have good prices and do no charge you until they ship your order.

I would suggest ordering thru some of the vendors that advertise in CTT.  I have pre-ordered thru Just Trains, and been very satisfied.  Usually as a result of pre-order you do get a discount.  I'm sure the other suppliers are fine as well.  You'll probably see the pre-order ads appear in the next issue of CTT.

Welcome to the forum and good luck.

Pre-Ordering Lionel Stuff

Ok, I have heard many a reference to "pre-ordering" things Lionel. Assuming I want to guarantee I get something, how do I go about doing this? Direct from Lionel? On the internet through a vendor? What?

Do you pay at the time you pre-order? And does that mean you pay full list?

Any guidance on this practice would be appreciated. Thank you.
