REWIRING ENGINE TO BE A CAB FORWARD ?
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, January 20, 2007 5:14 PM
Has anyone rewired a regular O scale engine to run as a cab forward ? Want it to run comletely opposite of what the control is put on . I want to build one that is NOT the versions sold by the regular manufacturers. Am striving as always for that different and unusual engine or car. It can be standard or tmcc rewired . I will  greatfully appreciate any expert advice . If you have done it or know how please advise . Was just going to buy one and try different ways but why when decades of expert knowledge is right here ! Is it as simle as rewiring the motor ---- Sign - Dots [#dots]   I am an old scratch builder and the cab components are easy but don't want to burn up a good engine needlessly not knowing for sure about the wiring .

If it's a dc motor, swap the motor wires.

Sorry I should have said .... DC ... That will be safe to do with tmcc also ? I just am cautious about screwing up a multi hundred dollar engine . Did it to an older HO standard engine .... but these new digital ones are said to be extremely finicky . It's a whole new world to me --- did'nt want my engine to do back flips or wild and wooly control aspects --- LOL
