When I found that the windows were higher than the door, it pretty much blew out putting tall accessoies on the layout. So I bought small shelfs to put them on. I built a wood box with a lid that is screwd on for the transformers. I mounted two light switches to it and Lionel sound activation buttons on the outside. Any train I put on the shelf layout I dial in the speed and all my son has to do is turn the switch on to run the trains.
Well, your post got me to click on through to take a peek. Very nice!

There are millions of people out there.

We all have big ideas and small budgets, and therefore have to railroad vicariously.
Great Layout! I really like the way you incorporated the taller accessories into a shelf layout.

I just can't fiqure it out. I posted in webshots pictures of my son shelf layout on June of 04. As of the beginning of Nov 06 it only had 1000 views. From 11/06 to this week it now has over 3200 views with 21 already this week. It has averaged 250 views every week since November and over 360 views last week. I really just don't know why the big jump to view these photos other than ideas or maybe the possible big swing of parents getting toy trains for there children. Maybe younger kids are really getting into trains more than we think. I did notice last year after Christmas that a lot of parents were out with there kids at the train show. More than I normaly experienced before.
