NY Showroom- when will it open?
Posted by LS1Heli on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 9:50 PM

There is so much talk about the new Lionel showroom in NYC...only 7 blocks away from the original one on 26th St in Manhattan!

When is this going to open? Is it going to be like the showroom layouts of the past?

I can't wait!

I hope that it is open to the public as in years past, but I believe I read that it was for corporate demonstrations.  This would be for say, the buyers for Target, et al to come and see the trains running and to arrange special sets for sale at the stores.

The public display layouts in the NY area department stores and the station are much more impressive than what is in the Lionel showroom.
