You can use Iphoto to tweak your image and then export it into a web friendly format, usually jpeg. You will still need a place to "host" your images. Your internet service provider (ISP) may have provided you with web space to store things like photo's. If so, you can transfer the files up to your space on their server and then point to them in your posts, using
[ img ]http://blah.blah.blah.com/mystuff/file.jpg[ /img ] syntax. If you don't have web space, you will need to use a photo posting service like photosite or photobucket.
Note, Iphoto can create basic webpage albums that can be transfered up to a hosting site. It will create basic pages, size the images and create the overall structure including thumbnails and support pages, e.g.
