Need Help
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, November 7, 2003 1:45 PM
Hello,
Need help here, any help kind of help would appreciated. I have acquired a old train set that was my wife's fathers which may date back to the early 50's. I do not know anything about toy trains. I would like to make this train run. I have track, the main engine, additional cars, and other stuff. I can send photos of it all. Any help would be great. Just send an e-mail directly to me if you choose I'll check in occasionally here. Thanks.

The first, and most important, is to have the transformer and engine checked out by train service tech. at a train store. He'll also be able to give you first hand guidance.

Hi trek, welcome to the train forums. I hope you don't get the idea that anybody is trying to blow you off, because I agree with Roger B., you can't beat in person advice on a situation like yours. I've done that. If your're near Garrett, I offer my help. Check for local hobby shops or clubs on trains.com. Happy model railroading! FDM
