Thanks again for the help. I did look on Lionel's site and was unable to find it so maybe as you said, John, its too new. I've seen other figures for around $4 on Lionel's site, but not the one I need. Ill have to check the other links.

The reason I didnt get too upset over it is I know it should be a pretty cheap part, and its only the first time something happened. My daughters only 3 so its probably more my fault for not paying enough attention. She still hasnt derailed it, so thats a good thing!

Pj : we all have sites for all kinds of other repairs too, electronics & light bulbs for our trains, etc, so if you need anything else, there are lots more places to check !  I used to tell my boy that if he breaks something, it may take a long time to get it fixed & he would be without it a long time. He seemed to respond better to that one !! I remember sending an eng. back to Lionel & waiting a while to get it, not his fault or anything like that, but he knew he would be without something for a good while if it broke !!

Thank you John for the quick reply. I could glue it, but I figured if I could find it cheap I would just buy a new one and put it on myself. I didnt think it would be too pricey.

I'll try looking at those sites tomorrow in my downtime at work, and save them in favorites for future needs. If I have to I will call Lionel, I just assumed it might be more expensive from them direct. Kind of like taking your car to the dealer, you know?

Kids will be kids, I'd rather take the hit and let her damage something, rather than not let her touch it at all. Of course if she damaged the engine and the whole thing wouldnt work, now thats another story...

Pj : sorry to hear that that piece broke. Any chance of glueing it ?  Maybe Lionel may have it.

Hi everyone,

I seem to recall a post somewhere listing a place or two to get Lionel parts online at a decent price, unless I am mistaken. Either way, I cant seem to find it by using the search option.

My train suffered its first casualty today while my daughter was playing with it. She was trying to put some of her own toys in the animated gondola car and broke the figure of the reindeer. Its not too big of a deal, I'm not upset or mad about it. She's a kid and I'm more happy with the fact she likes to play with the train.

But I didnt think a child breaking something would be covered under warrenty, and I was wondering if it would be cheaper to try and get a replacement figure somehere online as opposed to ordering from Lionel direct?
