Thank you for the comments about the webpage, guys! I appreciate all of you taking time from your busy schedules to look at my humble collection!
To answer the above question about ATSF stock, indoors, there didn't seem to be any ATSF items. I cannot verify this 100%, because there were some passenger cars that I didn't really get to inspect and photo like I would have liked to.
I took photos of most of the steam loks, except for the one in the firstmost display room as you enter the museum, which was I believe a mogul but had too many people around it to get a good shot.
Again, the complete outdoor exhibit section was off limits the day I went, so there is a chance that some ATSF could have been parked in the stalls.
Personally, I love the ATSF too, and was a bit surprised they didn't have a steam engine in SF livery. The ATSF played a big part in California, even before BN merger.
I have visited the California RR Museum, the B&O Museum, the N&W Museum, Steamtown, the Colorado RR Museum, and the Pennsylvania RR Museum and all of them are great, but I still believe that one of the best experiences is the Cass Railroad in WV. It is located in a remote and rugged area of the state, and since it is a state park they not only run the trains, but recreate the company town at the base of the mountain. It is truly a step back in time as you watch the brakeman turn the brake wheels as you descend the mountain grades.

Hey gang! Happy New Year!
Has any of you O gaugers or standard gaugers been to the Sacramento Calif. State Railroad museum? If not, you are missing out! Upstairs they have a HUGE Standard gauge tin plate layout, with many trains running. Unfortunately, its behind glass, so all the photos I took of it didn't come out good enough to post online. I did manage to take some nice photos of Marklin tinplate gauge 1 items (a few), but I am not a professional photographer so I didn't have much luck on the stuff behind glass with the lighting that was available.
I went up north for Christmas and planned in advance to see the Museum. The Museum also has numerous outdoor exhibits but due to weather and the holiday schedule, nothing was happening the day I went. However, the indoor 1:1 scale steam engines and diesel f-unit were good enough to put a BIG smile on my face!
Take a look at this website for a short tour of my photo journey!

If you 'hi railers' want to talk about this museum's wares, I am all ears! Drop me an email or reply to this message!
