Yeah I am in no rush. If I find anything shopping around I will definitely let you know, since you mentioned you are looking for them too.

I didnt think of if they might reissue them in a new catalog. When do the new catalogs typically come out?

I've never tried want adds... that may drive the price up even higher... I think the best bet is to shop around, wait for the 2007 catalogs to come out and see what is offered, then see if you can find them reasonably priced mid-year.

Skullie,
You were bidding against me! Disapprove [V]  I've not been able to land a set either!

Lionroar, lol, I didnt bid much. I guess we are in the same boat though, huh? One auction I staretd to look at went for over $200. I dont want the cars that bad. There are plenty of other things I am interested in than for me to spend that kind of money on those. Ive tried the other places listed, with no luck so far. If I do find anything I will let you know though. There are 2 upcoming train shows here, and I will try them. Maybe we should try putting want adds soemwhere?

Wow, thanks for the fast replies. I will try those when I get to work in the morning Big Smile [:D]

Lionroar - My wife got me the Lionel North Pole Central set, and I've added a few cars already. What I am looking for now that keeps eluding me is the Naughty & Nice Ore Car 2-Pack. I thought it would go nice with my set, and be relatively easy to find. The few auctions I've seen, like many on Ebay, got way too out of hand for my liking.

Skullie,
You were bidding against me! Disapprove [V]  I've not been able to land a set either!  The Naughty and Nice cars were made for only one year and that was a few years ago.  They were not very popular when they were made, but are now in higher demand because of the additional NPCL offerings.  These can be found, but it takes time, and you will pay a premium for them.  I like to stop at most hobby stores I see and check their inventory.  Also, talk with the owners and mention what you are looking for... some will offer to take your name and number and call you if they ever get a set.

Good luck!

Other aution/classified sites?

Are there any other auction or classified type sites that anyoen knows of that are good for finding trains, as opposed to Ebay? I've been trying to get a specific 2-pack for my Christmas set, was outbid by the crazies on Ebay for a few auctions, and have tried the classifieds here. Just wondering if anyone else might know any other good places to try. Thanks.
