This forum concentrates on toy trains, like Lionel.  You will have much better luck on the Model Railroader forum.

So far I've found Bachmann DCC equipped (DCC On Board) diesels for $30-$35.  Low end, likely same as you get in their DCC starter set, yet hard to pass up a servicable loco equipped for DCC for about the price of a decoder alone.  I got a couple of these, though it would be nice to find something with sound next.

Value DCC locos for E-Z Commmand - HO/N

I'm a newbie on a tight budget using E-Z Command for DCC.  The E-Z Command works well for me despite its limitations.  I'm looking for value priced DCC locomotives, HO and N-scale.  The goal is to not pay for features I can't use with my system, but try to maximize what I can do using E-Z Command DCC.  The E-Z Command works with functions F0-F8, but can NOT adjust CVs.  I'm defining a value price max at $100 for DCC equipped, or $75 for DCC ready preferably with a NMRA 8 pin plug.
