Standard gauge Commodore Vanderbilt questiones?

I was wondering, this locomotive has two motors and I was wondering how were they and the three drive axales geared together?

I assume you are referring to the Lionel Standard gauge engine from 2002.  I'm an "O" gauger myself, but the Classic Toy Trains Magazine had a review on this engine in their February 2003 issue.  I thought I had it, but I can't seem to find it.  I'm sure that article would answer your question.  Although I can't find it, you could get this article by using the link below:
