Can someone lend you a remote to use and see if that corrects the problem?  That would narrow it down a little.

DCS Mic problems
Posted by darianj on Sunday, December 17, 2006 9:36 PM

Hello All,

I seems to be having a small problem with my DCS system.  The dispatch mic on the remote does not work any longer.  It worked OK for about a week then stopped.  I've tried making sure my tracks are clean; and making sure the batteries in the DCS Locos are good.  It's not working with 4 different engines.  I do notice that when the button on the remote is pressed, the light comes on...so some kind of contact is being made in with the remogte.

Any other ideas before I send it in for service; or see if I can exchanage the unit?

Thanks

Darian
