Switch it back, and make sure the power is completely interrupted to change directions... like lift the loco off the track or unplug the transformer.  Try with the switch in both directions.  It sounds like the unit is cycling, but not with proper regularity.

Not sure = placed it in the opposite position it was in. Train ran backwards with the switch in original position. Now nothing - altho headlight still illuminated.

Did you leave the switch in the "on"/ "reverse" position?

Find the reverse unit lock-out switch under the loco and flip it to the other position.

If you are using a CW-80 transformer, try another type.

K-Line Train Running Backwards Only

Hello All -

Setting up the train under the Xmas tree and low and behold it runs OK = just only backwards. The transformer has a directional button but in forward nothing happens (altho the light on the locomotive works) and it runs just great in reverse. Suggestions?

 Thanks!
