I recently purchased an MTH Protosound C&O M1 (I installed the new diode BCR B/U battery) and have 2 questions; one for owners and one to anyone that can elaborate the upgrade options. For owners, despite the grueling 45 throttle maneuvers to the brake squeal menu (PS2 you've come a long way baby!), I have had no luck disabling this annyoing feature(?). Even after several hundred menu maneuvers and trial runs at various speeds/operating voltages, the constant high pitch squealing that eventually will get softer with run duration, will not stop until the engine does. Do you (have you) had the same problem? Turning down the volume would be like biting the nose to spite the face, besides, the horn's too cool.
The above may be a moot point if an upgrade to TMCC or PS2 is feasible. Can anyone recommend the best upgrade option based on cost and personal experience? If I can get the annoying, incessant squeal I have no problem with PS1. Also may not want to upgrade if it means losing the current horn, which is the most bizarre I've heard to date! I would not consider bypassing to conventional for any reason other than if I fry the electronics.
Thanks,
Rich F.

Thanks for the info Chief. The DD equalizer sounds real interesting. Any suggestions where to buy i.e. direct or dealer? Is there a moderator or someone out there that knows which CTT?
You are the man, Chief.
Thanks for your help!
