Hi,

Lionel's two previous attempts to produce HO equipment failed for many reasons, poor quality being a major factor. HO trains produced during either the postwar era or MPC era aren't highly regarded today.

Lionel does not currently offer whole HO train sets, though they are sticking their toe back into HO with some high-end (for HO) locomotives. If you want one of those, shop around a bit, I've seen prices in the high $600s and the mid $400s.

EBAY if you want the old HO models imported by Lionel.
Any Lionel dealer should be able to take a preorder for the New HO when they are released in 2004 or so.[:D]
The real question is - Why would you want to ?

Purchasing Lionel HO gauge train

I am interested in purchasing a Lionel HO gauge train set for my husband, but am having trouble finding examples of such a set online. Does anyone know where would be a good place to look for one?
Thanks.
