Just that the same motor and truck were used on many postwar models, including F3s, EP5s, and RDCs. So, if the parts you have are for some reason unusable, you don't have to concentrate on GP7s to get others.

Looking to breath life into my childhood MPC GP7. The centers of the gears on the power truck have gotten larger with wear. the train will either go 200 scale or nothing at all. Looked for new gears and plastic frame but could not find. I have now purchased an old postwar gp7 motor. I plan on making an adapter plate to mount the old motor which used the small hole in the frame to the newer loco that had the hile the size of the motor. I would replace the entire engine but it was my first so I would like to see it go again. Any ideas or comments on my planned approach.
