Hello Frank!    Nice 221 there. The First Photo would make a terrific Catalog Photo. This would be a excellent engine for Lionel to make again in their postwar series. Take Care.

Often over looked, the 221 was one of the first new postwar releases.Still pretty cheap to buy and very dependable. For me it pulls 2421,22,23 or the 1630,30,31 with a tender swap.

wouldn't mind picking up one of those myself. Even if it is from the compatition. I'm a Pennsy man you know, but if it's steam, it's OK by me! Be a nice stablemate to my 2046. Looks like you got a nice one there.

I bought this one ebay a few weeks ago, and it arrived today. I am really surprised that the condition is better than I had expected. I strongly doubt it has been repainted, and the decals on the tender are excellent.

It needs a bit of mechanical work, which I will have tended to Friday. Once I get a loop running it will go into service on this set of post war passenger cars.
