This gets asked regularly.  The Trains.com people should do a better job of explaining how to post pictures.  Several people have given better descriptions than I could provide and there was even a link to a site that provided a step by step procedure, but that link is gone.

In short, you need to have the pictures uploaded to the web (Shutterfly, Photobucket, etc.).  You can then link to those picture in your forum post using the following protocol:

["img"]web location of your picture["/img"]

Omit the quotation marks (if I didn't have the quotes, the img command would try to display a picture).
