It's great when you can find a cache like that.  They are a great reference to have on hand.  I have an MR & RMC  library from mid 1960's up into 1994, by then there was enough material available in my more specific (O) interest that I stopped those.

They don't hold much resale value, though.  Back issues seem to be more valuable to the current owner than anyone else, if that makes any sense.

Congrats on a great find! Once every couple of months or so, either my wife or I find a few MRs at yard sales. Usually it's just a dozen or so issues, definitely not 473. You're right, the old magazines had tons and tons of great information in them.

Enjoy, and be sure to share some of that old knowledge with us as you unearth it!

Eat your heart out guys .... bought 473 issues of VERY vintage MRR magazines at a yard sale ! These beauties are fabulous .... fantastic articles and pics with 100's of pullouts and diagrams ...large highly detailed ones ! You got alot more than you paid for back then . My brother in law says I have to will them to him .... LOL
