Wow! I glanced over this site about a yr. ago and finally decided to get involved in the forums. Sometimes the varied hobbies I have take up too, much time; well at least the desire for more time. My name is Vince and username is cooltech, (I adopted this due to my tecnical work background).

I have been into model railroading since about 14 yrs old. Now 53. My early dilemas had been room for a permenant layout. When that finally resolved, (I'll squeze the past 39 yrs into this), the house I currently live in, my youngest son and I embarked on the garage conversion. We spent some 8 yrs. building a three line layout,(HO) which included an elevated trolly line, an Amtrak Metroliner or other commuter line depending on the mood, and at the time his favorite, an army transport rolling stock.

As he grew, now 17, and the family also involved in music, the garage was beginning to see the need for change. You see, my son now is involved in recording and I sacrificed the glorious train layout to building the almost completed recording studio, (which I also plan to take advantage of for my music intrests).

The goal; Recording studio completed by the end of Thanksgiving weknd. Next; The building of the new train layout. Hummm, Theremay have to be a recording studio on the new layout!
