Any Hudsons out there

A program I was watching earlier in the year that spoke of the Famous Hudson's and that sadly, they all went to the scrap yard.  I noticed today that the front of the latest "Trains" magazine mentioned a CP Hudson.  Is this a real one from the old days, or did someone just rework some other engine?  It would be great to have some information on a actual working / running on the hi rail hudson.

All the NYC Hudsons were scrapped, but a few from other railroads remain.

The problem with fast passenger locomotives like the Hudson is that they tended to be the first to be replaced by Diesel-electrics.  So they were scrapped before there was much urgency to save steam locomotives.  The steam locomotives that have been saved are mostly the less glamorous workhorses that were the last to go.

Thanks Bob, It was not specified about all Hudsons being scrapped, but I guess it was a program on NYC and they must have meant only their Hudsons.  I would like to check one of the remaining ones, if either you or anyone else may have a list of which Hudsons remain and where they are located.

At steamlocomotive.com you can run a search by state, railroad, or wheel arrangement and they showed something like 27 Hudson types (mostly canadian and Burlington) still in one piece. alas, none from the Central, though two Central 4-8-2s survived thanks to the MoPac.

Do I remember correctly that Trains Magazine published an April-fool hoax a while back about a NYC Hudson's being found in a barn?
