Use a paint pen to do those outlines. Paint pens can be found at craft stores as well as hobby shops. If you can find one that uses acryllic paint, you can fix any mistakes with water.

Repainting window outlines and stripes on Lionel 2400 cars?

Ok, I'm over the eBay thing...I'll note this as a $25 lesson learned.  2-hours of dismantling and cleaning the car seems to be therapudic.  At least this was top up in the puddle.  The lights are in tact and unaffected by the water...but the wheels and trucks are junk.

I've decided to repaint the car...It might turn into a diner.. Hhmmm...If I could have my own railroad....

Does anyone have any tricks on painting the stripes and outlines around the windows?  The origional paint seems to have been applied with a foam pad or something...I'm concerned with getting even and consistent coverage.
