You need to put it on it's own variable voltage transformer to control the water flow. Tieing it in with power to other accessories is not a good idea. It can see rises and drops in voltage as other accessories (or trains) draw amperage causing the pump to raise and lower its output.

question about an mth product
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, September 29, 2006 4:19 PM

hi, i'm new to this forum and thought maybe someone could help me out. i recently purcashed an MTH operating townhouse on fire. it works great, but makes a mess. can i use it with just the smoke and lights and not the water? the instructions clearly state do not operate this without smoke fluid but they say nothing about the water.

thanks

dave
