1991 issues of CTT

I think I have 2 premier issues in my collection somewhere, I will look and let you know.

The last one I saw on ebay went for 45.00

I have CTT Volumes 1 through 6 (1988 through 1993) as bound volumes.  At one point, Kalmbach used to sell each year's issues in a hard-cover binding, although I'm not sure they do that anymore because demand for thos bound editions was always kind of slim.

You may be able to find these bound volumes at train shows such as the York Meet, or even on-line through eBay or some other source--can't say for sure because I've never looked.

I also have a mint copy of the first issue stored away somewhere with way too many other train magazines, and one of these days I'll have to go through those boxes and start disposing of some of that stuff--magazines, catalogs, and lots of other train-related paper items.  I know that the premier issue, in mint condition, sold for upwards of $100 at one point, but can't say for certain what they might be going for today.

Paper collectors are always on the lookout for rare items (rare in the sense that many folks tend to discard these things once they've read through them).  About six years ago, I sold a copy of the first MTH catalog--more of a flyer, actually--for $140.  Figured it would be better off in the hands of someone who might appreciate and make use of it rather than just stuck in a file drawer here where chances are I would never even look through it again.  Frankly, I was amazed that such a relatively common item could be worth that kind of money, especially since it really wasn't all that old.

I need the premier issue. I have every issue since. Don't know how I missed the very first one.

Be prepared to pay for the Premier issue.  I saw it a couple of year ago at a show, still in wrapper and a hefty $100 price tag.  I doubt it sold but that was what he was asking
