Lionel SMOKE UNITS YUCK!

Are any of you impressed with Lionel's smoke units in their new engines? I am NOT. I was told by a tech that Lionel has the lowest setting amps-wise (.02 amps!!). K-line is a little better at .05 amps and MTH has the best smokers around at .08 amps.

I'm having all my Lionel engines' smoke units increased to MTH standards!

Amtrak Jack, Yep I aggree! Just today I had to take appart my son's Big boy and deal with the smoke unit, And it seems like this is the standard for Lionel.
I don't know who you know [Tech wise] but the guy I talked to said that it would be taken care of soon. But getting parts,New parts? Good luck, I know the folks you talk to do the best they can , And I don't know who ultimitly makes the dissision for parts stock but from what I can tell somebody's dropped the ball.
Does your smoke units leak all over the place too?

They only leak if filled too much. The tech I know is going to increase the amp output and that should take care of the low smoke.

No interest in more smoke. Any more than the wisps that come from Lionel stacks, and I start having trouble breathing. I like to have SOME smoke, but I don't want clouds.
