Broady,
The jerking you describe is a characteristic of early Odyssey equipped units. Thus it is unlikely there is anything wrong with it. Your only option if you cannot live with it may be to replace it with an aftermarket unit from someone like Train America Studios.

I have a 2001 (I think) SD90 not lionmaster. It runs great, its huge, and the railsounds for this loco match it great. My issue with it is that with command when I first start it up it jerks. It jerks once everytime on the start when its called the first time power is applied then id on the CAB-1 (number 20) after that it's fine, runs smooth, starts smooth. It is when I operate the loco after I first turn on the power. The question is should I replace the odyssey board or is there another type of fix I should aware of? Any ideas would be great.
