Replacement decals
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, September 8, 2006 10:59 AM
This is my first restoration. I'm working on a prewar Lionel 629 Pullman. Everything is going well, but I'm having a problem locating the correct size replacement letters and numbers. The letters on the car measure
5/32" in height and are RR Gothic black. I can find 1/8" and 3/16", but not 5/32". Am I being paranoiac, or should I settle for the 3/16" size. Does anyone know if RR Gothic black 5/32" is available somewhere?

3/16" and 5/32" are basically the same. Just 1/32 of an inch difference. Hardly noticable.

Thanks for replying to my question, Jim. I'll give the 3/16" size a try.
