marriage
Posted by thatboy37 on Saturday, August 26, 2006 9:10 PM
hey i finally tied the knot today and everything went great. i got married to my wife and the i pulled out the polar express just for today to see how it would handle the tracks and it did a great job around the corners at full speed. there had to have been about 15 kids here and they all loved the trains and wanted to see them go round and round then hold the whistle button for at least 30 seconds a piece so the whistle on the polar got a little excercise today. but again i jumped the broom and i feel like a new man.

Reggie,

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!  It seems your life has changed so much since first getting on this forum.  Before you know it, you will have a little crumb snatcher chomping at the bit to get some train time with Dad.  It will be one of the happiest times in your life.

Take care and Blessings to you and your bride.

Dennis

A big Buckeye Congratulations to Reggie and his new bride.  Thumbs Up [tup]  And may you have many happy years together.

As to that honeymoon, I thought these guys would have suggested places like Durangeo, CO.,  Cass, WV., or Charma, NM.   The ride from Toronto to the West Coast with VIA should be a good time.

Congrats on your marriage. I've been married now for almost four years and the best advice I can give you is to be honest with your wife regarding train purchases.

The little stuff won't be so bad, but if you're planning to buy an engine or that new Big Boy you may have to get the wife something of comparable value to keep her from despising your hobby.

Wishing you much happiness,
Geno

thanks for the advice on the purchases but i really havent been buying like i used to anyway since i got the news about the baby. when i got that i started thinking for three instead of one, plus i been saving up for the accela expansion set thats coming out, one of the unversity of alabama baxcars #6-39287, two of the canadian national sd40-2 powered #6-28259 and one canadian national sd40-2 dummy #6-28260 otehr than that i think i have enough stuff that i havent even used. so for now its the lord, the little one, my wife, and then me. again thanks and i wish you all the same as you wished me for my family for you guys family.
