ROUNDHOUSE/TURNTABLE PAIRING
Posted by BILLBOBBOY1 on Saturday, August 12, 2006 8:56 AM

A FEW MONTHS AGO I PURCHASE AN ATLAS ROUNDHOUSE AND TURNTABLE (O SCALE).  WHILE I KNEW THE SIZE OF THE ROUNDHOUSE BEFORE THE PURCHASE, IT REALLY DID NOT STRIKE HOME UNTIL I ASSEMBLED  AND PLACED IT ON MY LAYOUT.  THAT THING TAKES A LOT OF TABLE REAL ESTATE.  MORE RECENTLY, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE SCALE UNIVERSITY AND KORBER MODELS, NOTING THAT THEY ARE SMALLER - AROUND 8-10 INCHES LESS IN LENGTH.  BUT THE CURVATURE (RADIUS) OF THE FRONT OF THESE ROUNDHOUSES APPEAR DIFFERENT THAN MY ATLAS TURNTABLE.

NOW FOR MY QUESTION: CAN ANY MODEL/BRAND ROUNDHOUSE BE USED WITH ANY TURNTABLE?  THE TWO ATLAS PRODUCTS ARE PERFECTLY MATCHED RE THE RADIUS.

THANKS
