running trains
Posted by thatboy37 on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 10:02 PM
i got my first train running tonight as i finished running the buss wire and connecting all points to the wire, and i'm running it through tmcc i feel good now that i have at least one running. i am officially into business now. thanks for the help guys and for being there for me until i got it running. i owe it all to you guys, my nephew for helping, and myself for staying dedicated and not giving inevn though i wanted to. the first train to run on the layout is a NS SD80Mac Engine# 7201 with 5 2 Bay Die Cast Hoppers headed for aroud the circle and back.

glad to hear! Before the advent of the forums, I didn't really have anyone to turn to for advice.

Great news, Reggie. Isn't it quite the sense of accomplishment to see something actually run?

Great to hear!  Getting that first train running is always a major milestone, even if you still have a lot of layout work ahead.

Good work Reg!  Now you can have little running breaks in between your work sessions.
