at chicagoland hobby they have 2 sets of the atlas gunderson stack cars a & b item #8904 and they also have 2 sets of the gunderson stack cars c,d, & e item #8905 was wondering if $630.00 is to much to pay for all four sets or could i get them a little cheaper some where else. he also has a lionel csx sd80mac with all the bells and gadgets for 429.99 with 10% off what do you think about that price and do you think i can get it cheaper else where. he told me i could get it all for a $1000 no tax out the door and shipped to me at no charge.if this is a good/great deal please let me know. or let me know where i can get this stuff at for a better deal than that. again thanks in advance for any help or responses.

The price on the Lionel SD 80 mac sounds good, but I feel the Atlas is way over priced! Check & see if MTH may have a better price for the gunderson sets.

The Lionel SD 80 price is just about the same as when I purchased mine two years ago.

Reggie, Check out www.amhobbiesonline.com , they have the gundersons listed under their pre-ordrer listing. Try that one for "comparison shopping" or possibly even E-Bay's Buy-It-Now listings. Most everyone that sees them just raves about the quality and detail.

Wow, went back and did some more lookin' around. I didn't realize that you have to buy the containers seperately and they ain't cheap.
