Always wanted a Pennsylvania RR GG-1 for my all PRR loco roster. I just got a PWC version and it runs fine. All the TMCC and railsound features work. When I turn the sound down completely I hear a strange sound coming from inside the shell that can be best described as a popcorn machine. I have carefully lubricated it, however the noise still exists. Has anyone experienced this type of sound? I am going to call Lionel tech service, but before I do, I thought I would give the forum a shot.
Thanks, Sam
You are probably hearing static from the Railsounds system. Try turning the volume down with the control on the bottom of the loco instead of with the Cab1 and see if it goes away.
