If I have now decided that I want to be mainly 027 and have also settled on what lines I want to specialize in.....and most of what I now have isn't either......

Means you will quit buying so many new boats.   Means Sallie and the Ladies will buy more clothes.  "But I'm doing it for Aydan!"   You will also answer just like Sallie does about clothes, "I've had that one for a long time!"  Then you throw in a few, "Yes Dear, I'll run the restaurant for you today."

Nope!  Just means you have the basis for selling off some of what you have (unless it's something you want to keep) to support buying items in the roadnames and sizes you want.  You already have a good foundation for financing things that conform to your evolved interest, so you're in a better position than a whole lot of folks.

I, too, tend to be more interested in the traditional-size (O27) trains than I am in the larger, scale-size stuff--most of which I consider to be pricey for my budget and tastes.  I do make some exceptions, and yesterday received several scale-size Lionel hot metal cars that will see service on my otherwise O27-oriented pike.  They really are gorgeous cars, and being die-cast, they weigh a ton.  Nevertheless, they sure look great being pulled by one of my Behlehem Steel BEEPs, although I'm currently only operating one car per BEEP because I want to be careful--pending further experimentation--to not overload the hauling capacity of these small locomotives.
