Whats the Best Lionel PWC Diesel to date ???

What is the best or your favorite Lionel Postwar Celebration Series Diesel engine made so far? I've been looking for the Seaboard NW-2 and the Virginian black & gold FM - both seem to be pretty popular and hard to find!

Gosh, that's a long list!  I've always been partial to the NW-2s' and although I don't have the Seaboard unit, I sure like it.  And I was really happy to get the PWC Burlington GP-7 2328.  IMHO it hits the mark just as I'm sure Lionel hoped it would - it takes a beautiful, classic design and does it one better.  It's hard to find original 2328's with bright, clean silver paint, so for me the choice was obvious.  The addition of RailSounds and TMCC to the Pullmor motor and Magnetraction makes an unbeatable combination.  Maybe not the "best" but definitely my favorite - it's the only PWC engine that called to me enough to buy it.

The Southern 2356 F3 ABA.  My dad had the original and I had to have the PWC re-issue.  I also think the re-issue of the Army 44 set is pretty dang nice.  With TMCC and all!

Quite an assortment here.  I like the Western Pacific F3's.

Hey Frank,

Since when does the Santa Fe run through the northeast?
