Anyone opened up a TAS smoke unit in an Atlas diesel?

I just did.  Had been smoking poorly [since it was new and only months old] and then was doing better.  Had to do some maintenance so I pull the shell.  To my surprise, someone's dark blonde wig was in it. Shock [:O]  No joke.  The wicking in it is a material like a cheap wig.  Not that much either. Seemed not to have enough to hold any fluid.  The fan seems to have more vanes than the Lionel units.  Has a temp bulb or some kind of sensor to tell if the unit is dry.  So I used the old Buckeye trick.  I added some pink insulation and then put the "wig" back.  This time I flooded it with smoke fluid.  Man it smokes now.  First time seeing a "wig" in a smoke unit.  When I get time, I will do my other Atlases.

Chief, the "wig" sounds like it did not wick. In other words it was not a wicky wig but a wacky wig.Laugh [(-D]
