Thanks for thinking of me, Chief!  I've been real busy lately with work, and stuff on the home front, so I haven't been able to do much train stuff.  I've spend the last two weekends going to the Mt. Pilot and Mt. Airy area for the kid's summer camp.  I'll also be going up there THIS weekend too!

I haven't had the trains out in I don't know when.  And if you stay away from the forum for a few days, you have a LOT of catching up to do.

Here is an old post of mine from a Sunday Photo Fun.  The img code is being used to display the photos.  I didn't cut and paste the photos into this post.  (When many of us posted multiple photos in the past, we would set up a template and just change the photo codes from week to week.)

Photos from Roger’s Corners, Ohio

Elevation 936 Feet

About a two weeks ago there was a discussion about pigs flying.   Well, here are some photos of the “pigs” flying on my layout.

Very interesting that it is working both ways.

Another little trick you may want to try, is that I put an icon for the forum and an icon for Shutterfly in the quick launch tool bar at the bottom of screen.   If I have the forum open and want to open Shutter fly,  I hold down the shift key and click on the Shutterfly icon with the mouse in the tool bar.   Shutterfly opens in another window.

I think it is even possible to make your own toolbar, too.

Trying it too.  Let's see:

figures in full vista dome 42.2 KB

Well, it showed in PREVIEW but I want to post it since I read somewhere that the PREVIEW version worked for someone but the photo didn't show when posted.

Cut-And-Paste:  Thanks for the tip.

Worked!  BTW, when I came back in the image was smaller but clicking on it to enlarge it still works.

Spanybird, I tried the old way and it didn't work.  I'll try it again right here:

Well what do you know...it's working now!  Hmmmm....

Now let's try the copy and paste method you described, right here:

That seems have worked via the copy from a website method.   I previously was trying to copy an actual image from a image editor, and paste it in.

Seems that I've got it working now.  Thanks a bunch!!!

Tom,

I would like to add to your explanation that on some computers, one needs to hold down the shift key to open multiple web pages, ie. Shutterfly.   Then you just click back and forth between web pages.

You can still post the old way with the img command as discribed in this link

http://www.cuppleshobby.com/photoposting_instruct/

or you can copy and paste. You must still have a photo host that will allow photo sharing. Shutterfly does. As before upload you pic to your photo host. Then have two windows of the internet open, one for the CTT forum and the other with your photo host.

Now in the photo host, place your mouse pointer over your pic and right click on it and click on copy, then open the window for the CTT forum and place your mouse over the window on the CTT forum and right click it again and then click on paste.

Good Luck

tom

I used copy/paste to add this to my post:  Strange it  didn't work on the post, but shows ok  in preview.  Its the A-Train add from this site.

On this link the Astoria picture was posted from a photo site using [img ]link[ /img] method.  The Yakama photo using copy/paste and the petroleum diagram came from a web site using copy/paste

To copy/paste  Highlight the picture by draging mouse  click "copy" on the Exployer "edit" menu, then paste to message using "paste" from the "edit" menu.

-------------------------------------

Below was copy/paste from a web site .  You don't always get what you expect.  I was trying to get a "gti" graphic which doesn't show and the photo at the bottom of this mess.

var MenuLinkedBy='AllWebMenus [2]', awmBN='460'; awmAltUrl=''; awmBuildMenu(); .awmGeneric{background-color:transparent}.AWMST0 {position:relative; visibility:inherit; text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;border-style:none; border-width:0; padding:0; cursor:move; z-index:1000}.AWMSTTD0 {text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;}.AWMST1 {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; text-align:left; background-color:transparent;border-style:outset; border-width:0; padding:0; cursor:default; z-index:1000}.AWMSTTD1 {text-align:left; background-color:transparent;}.AWMST2 {position:relative; visibility:inherit; text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;border-style:none; border-width:0; padding:0; cursor:default; z-index:1000}.AWMSTTD2 {text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;}.AWMST3 {position:absolute; visibility:inherit; text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;border-style:none; border-width:0; padding:0; cursor:default; z-index:1000}.AWMSTTD3 {text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;}.AWMST4 {position:relative; visibility:inherit; text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;border-style:none; border-width:0; padding:0; cursor:hand; z-index:1000}.AWMSTTD4 {text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;}.AWMST5 {position:absolute; visibility:inherit; text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;border-style:none; border-width:0; padding:0; cursor:hand; z-index:1000}.AWMSTTD5 {text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; background-color:transparent;}.AWMST6 {position:absolute; visibility:inherit; text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; color:#FFFFFF; background-color:transparent;border-style:none; border-width:0; padding:0; cursor:default; z-index:1000}.AWMSTTD6 {text-align:center; font:4mm sans-serif; color:#FFFFFF; background-color:transparent;}

How do you post images???!!!
Posted by JeffPo on Friday, July 14, 2006 12:26 PM

Okay, tried my first post on the new and improved forum.  Unfortunately, my attempt at including an image failed.

First I tried a direct paste, as suggested by another poster.  Nope.  The paste action is not available if an image is on the clipboard.

Then I tried the old way.  That didn't work either!

So how do you post images to this new forum?

Thanks.
