I've been out of it for a number of years but I'm looking to get my trains
running again and need a locomotive.
Just spotted one of these in a local hobby shop.
Anybody know anything about this locomotive as far as quality?

The H16-44 is as nice as the new Lionel diesels get. I've got a review of the New Haven version in the November issue (at the printer now). Good puller, nice sound system.

Well here is my review. 5 Stars. Runs smoother than smooth. Hardly makes a sound compared to other similar sized engined and man does this little guy pull trains. MORE POWER!! ARR ARR ARR. I have only one major with it. The paint shcme of all things. But I'm biased here to an extreme.
