Lionel Classics (1991) 2-400E Steamer help?
Posted by bennerc on Saturday, August 30, 2003 12:19 AM
Oops! I got carried away during the recent Richard Kughn Madison Hardware auction and now own a Lionel Classics 2-400E steamer/tender and a brown State set of passenger cars.

Does anyone know where I could find a copy of the instructions that came with the engine ? There was no "paper" with the engine (Lionel part # 6-13108), and I've not been able to find anything on Lionel's website, nor could their customer service folks back in Michigan help me.

I'm concerned about proper lubrication of the engine.

I would really appreciate help from this forum!

I'd gladly pay for copying/mailing if someone has the "owner's manual."

Thanks,

Hi Craig,

I don't have the owners manual you are looking for. Someone else may. But if you don't locate one here, you may want to check with some of your areas Lionel Service Stations. They may have a set still in stock or have one in there personal collection that they could share. You may also be able to locate a copy for sale on Ebay. A wide range of operating instructions from Lionel sets are available there.

Good luck,
