Off-hand I can't recall the name of the company that I bought the pinata from. Some place in California. Train Party or something like that. If I can find the order form I'll post the name.

It was actually TOO sturdy!!!! We didn't know it at the time, but bashing the wheels did NOTHING in terms of denting the thing! The wheel parts were add-ons and landed up protecting the body. The kids spent nearly 20 minutes whacking at it and it wasn't until the wheels fell off that they made progress.

The reason I got this one was that it made choo-choo sounds - it was the only one that I saw that had sounds.

Well, here are some photos of the shelf layout.



The shelf goes all the way around the outer edge of the room.



It crosses the window and rounds the corner.




Here's the 1688 on her maiden voyage.

There's still much to do. I have a short somewhere in the track and have to trace it and repair it. I also need to custom cut or trim a few pieces of track to make it fit better. I also have some wall brackets that split as I was putting them up so I have to cut and stain some more brackets and then reinstall them. I also need to fasten the track down to keep it from shifting and run a few more power feeds.

It's getting too hot to work out there now. I will work out there some more when it cools off this evening.

On Saturday, visited the National Arboream, right across the street from the U.S. Capitol.



Purchased a Mexican Heather for my railroad.



Also planted some kind of thyme. BB the Beagle inspects the track and the right of way.

1410 looks like a GP 15.

1412 looks like a GP 15 as well.

5301, and 5304 both look like GP38-2's.

I took some railfan pictures at the NS facility at Lancaster, PA last week. These were taken from the sidewalk on Harrisburg Pike. The light is wrong but this was the only side with access.

Doug: I think you're right !! The more I study that picture, the more I wonder if the Merry Go Round has had its proper inspections & lubrication for safe operating !! Maybe that's why all those girls are not riding it today !! [:D][:D]
