Connecting Gargraves to Fastrack

I am building a layout that I have built a trestle from scratch. On the trestle I am using Gargraves track and on the flat surface of the layout I am using Fastrack. I bought two pieces of Fastrack O guage transition track. One end has regular Fastrack pins on it and the other end has regular O guage pins in it. If I am going to connect Gargraves track to it instead of regular O guage track what needs to be done, just change the pins to Gargraves using mating pins? I sure could use some advice here. Thanks guys in advance.

Mating pins shims to match the rail heights.

I used Kline track for the same purpose and it mated up perfect with the FasTrack transition peice.
