You can move the actuating point of the switches farther away from the crossing to get them down before the train comes. I can't remember if you can change the speed.

I was wondering about that. When Kent did that episode of "Workin on the RR", the gate would go down as the train was passing. A bit late, kinda like saying "that thing that hit you, that was a train". Anyway, if they can be adjusted, I would be interested as I have several areas that will need signals.

The only ones I have are the little ground-level block signals. They are very simple to set up, but the train has to be passing it to activate it. A regular IR unit, like Lionel, can be placed to activate the signal PRIOR to the train reaching it. Although my Z signals have a "sensitivity" control, there is no "delay" control. I don't know if the other Z products work the same as mine. Joe

Has anybody tried the new Z Stuff Signals?

Do you just hook up power and set them by the track ? Would make my life simplier if they do. [8D]
