Work in progress D-264 in Fastrack
Posted by Nick12DMC on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 4:51 PM
Hi all,
Had a large box of track arrive today. [:)]Played around tonight with setting
out the inner part of my planned D-264 layout. Its not going to be a spot on copy
but I am using that plan as a basis.

Tricky bit was the cross over between the inner and outer loop at the bottom of
the pic. Its in this area that I had trouble matching the Super O plan. I guess due
to the diffrent curve radius.

Regards

Nick

hey nice i wish i had the patience to set mine up on the floor fisrt in my new house. but i want to build my benchwork first then put my track up. i always wondered why people put there track together first on the floor then take it apart. the reason i had mine on the floor was because that was my sisters house and i couldnt build any benchwork in her house as that room was my nephews playroom.so i was lucky to get that much space to have it on the floor. i figured if you build the benchwork the size you want it set up your layout then you make modifications to your layout and track plan. which i thought would be easier but i guess everybody has there own views. but nice track plan cant wait to see your layout when you finished. goodluck hope all goes well

Not familiar with the plan - very cool! Where does that switch lead to?

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

The two switches will lead to sidings for operating accesories. We have run out
of straight track, waiting for the rest of my order to come in. Just had the curves
(25) arrive and one powered point. Would have liked the the trestle set to see how it will look but its not arrived yet.
We had a couple of manual points so I used them to check the plan. There is also a large outer loop to do that runs around the outside of the inner loop.
