I think you mean to say Bachmann On30 trains.
HOn30 is HO scale on N gauge track.
The couplers on Bachmann On30 are Bachmann ez-mate brand HO size.
They are mounted at HO height.
Kadee does make correct scale On3 couplers.
They are designed to be mounted higher than HO.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A ONE OF THESE SETS,WHICH IS A O SCALE TRAIN ON HO TRACK. THEY SEEM TO COME WITH A REALISTIC SET OF COUPLERS,NOT YOUR STANDARD HO TYPE. ARE THESE THE AUTOMATIC KADEE TYPE,OR DO THESES HAVE TO BE PURCHASED SEPARATLY? DO I PURCHASE HO COUPLERS OR O SCALE COUPLERS? THANK YOU
